Branding and product design for a contemporary art gallery in New York City.
Antico Contempo is a New York-based studio that draws inspiration from the Aboutaam family's collection of ancient artworks. Their practice centers on reimagining these historical pieces into contemporary forms, handcrafted by skilled artisans in the same regions where the originals were made. The result is a body of work that bridges antiquity and modernity, honoring cultural heritage while making it resonate in today's world.
Antico Contempo has amazing artworks and ideas; they needed a more established brand identity and a website redesign.
The goal was to make a digital experience where the work and craftsmanship of Antico Contempo could truly shine. They have an amazing story, work, and artisans. The most important thing was to show all of it in a sleek, considered way.
The original homepage had a large footer, a small hero section, and plain static images.

The redesigned version updated the homepage to include a smaller, sleeker footer, a full hero section, and Antico Highlights with animated GIFs. The goal was to give users a preview of Antico's works and foster excitement before they explore further.

The original About page featured videos of the making process. Below is the original design.

The updated version focuses completely on the studio and their origins. The goal was to make it easy to read and simple to follow, letting the craftsmanship speak for itself.

Antico Contempo creates contemporaries of historical artworks. The packaging for these works is equally important. I designed a simple thank-you card for each product.
The goal behind these cards was to write a simple, quality note to customers, thanking them for continuing the tradition and extending the life of these artworks.
